On the afternoon of December 10th, Qinling Zhongnanshan Global Geopark Management Office held the preparation meeting for the geopark re-evaluation in 2025. The meeting was chaired by Wang Fang, Deputy Director of Qinling Zhongnanshan Global Geopark Management Office. All personnel of the Global Geopark Management Office, the responsible person of each unit, and its business backbones attended the meeting.
Yang Jianping, Director of Qinling Zhongnanshan Global Geopark Management Office, has arranged and deployed the work related to the geopark re-evaluation in 2025. He emphasized that the re-evaluation work is crucial to the future development of the geopark, and everyone should take the responsibility and dedicate to the task.
Then the staff of the geopark management office elaborated on the re-evaluation work, including the evaluation process, work list and coordination issues, and answered questions. Each responsible person also stated that the membership of the global geopark network is hard-earned and cannot be lost, and they would fully cooperate to prepare for the 2025 geopark re-evaluation.
Finally, commissioned by Wang Chuang, Vice Director of Xi’an Natural Resources and Planning Bureau, Yang Jianping gave a concluding speech, pointing out that the re-evaluation is not only a severe test, but also a valuable opportunity. Each unit should take this opportunity to improve its work and fully demonstrate the results of the work. Firstly, we must attach great importance to the re-evaluation work, and make every effort to do a good job; Secondly, we must act quickly, actively cooperate, and complete data collection work on time; Thirdly, we must strengthen our responsibilities and coordinate efforts from top to bottom to ensure practical and efficient work. Yang Jianping emphasized once again that the Xi’an Municipal Government attaches great importance to this re-evaluation work, so all units must do the best to cooperate in all aspects, and ensure the re-evaluation is passed.
