On December 18th, the opening ceremony of 2024 Xi’an Winter Cultural and Tourism Activities Release and Cuihuashan Ice and Snow Carnival was grandly held at Cuihuashan Ski Resort in Qinling Zhongnanshan Global Geopark, which was hosted by Xi’an Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Xi’an Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning, People’s Government of Chang’an District, and Xi’an Tourism Group, and organized by the Culture and Tourism Bureau of Chang’an District , Qinling Zhongnanshan Global Geopark Management Center, Taiyi Palace Street Office in Chang’an District, and Xi’an Qinling Zhongnanshan Global Geopark Tourism Development Co., Ltd., and co-organized by Cuihuashan Scenic Area Ski Resort. Representatives from cultural and tourism enterprises, skiing enthusiasts, mainstream media representatives at central, provincial, and municipal levels, as well as new media influencers in Xi’an, participated in the grand event to witness the joy of ice and snow.
At the event, 206 key winter cultural and tourism activities in Xi’an with 4 major themes, including welcoming spring, folk customs, ice and snow wonders and warm winter cuisine, were released, which covered 6 types of characteristic routes and 100 day welfare benefits for tourists.
In the cold winter season, Qinling Zhongnanshan Global Geopark is like a kingdom of ice and snow. Whether it’s speeding on the ski slopes or enjoying the fun of watching and admiring the snow, it attracts many tourists to come and experience it in the geopark. The geopark has become one of the popular destinations for winter tourism in Xi’an. In recent years, the geopark have comprehensively integrated activities such as geological exploration, research travels, leisure and entertainment activities to fully utilize the essential resources, which has helped to promote the vigorous development of tourism projects in the geopark and drive the economic development of surrounding areas.
