International Exchange and Cooperation Activity with Greece and Spain

Recently, as the invitation of Spanish Molina and Alto Tajo UNESCO Global Geopark and Greek Psilorities UNESCO Global Geopark, Qinling Zhongnanshan UNESCO Global Geopark visited Spain and Greece for international exchange and cooperation, and signed sister-park with Psilorities UNESCO Global Geopark.

Psilorities UNESCO Global Geopark group gave warm welcome to Qinling Zhongnanshan UNESCO Global Geopark Group, and Dr. Babis led tourists to visit Crete Island, especially mountaintop lave and sequence of strata, to understand Crete Island’s geological development history. Then, the group visited tourist centre and geomuseum, did symposium with Mannoroth Keller who is the mayor and chairman of geopark. They discussed geological heritage protection, geological exploration, explained the policy and funds about archaeological research and popular science following the law and rules and signed sister-park after they discussed many points such as training plan, specialized management person’s selection and preferential policy for sister-park. And we hoped Psilorities UNESCO Global Geopark to go Qinling Zhongnanshan UNESCO Global Geopark to visit and communicate.

Besides, the group visited Molina and Alto Tajo UNESCO Global Geopark and geomuseum following Doc. Jose Antonio who is the chairman of geomuseum, understood the cause of geopark, geological structural and protective plan for wild animal and plant. And they discussed the step cooperation about high technology use in popular science place to improve popular science quality.
