2019 Annual Chinese UNESCO Global Geopark Conference has been hold in Dunhuang, Gansu from Oct 10th to 12th. Director Yang Jianping as head for Qinling Zhongnanshan Global Geopark attended the conference.
Sustainable development of global geopark is the theme for this annual conference, and there are five parts in conference. One, Zheng Yuan gives a wrap-up work from 2018 to 2019 for 39 global geoparks, and new demand and imagination for 2020. Liu Yuan gives speech from strengthening development and management of global geopark, qualitative change from myth tourism to geological tourism in geological area and how to develop geopark steady. Zhao Zhizhong does a full explanation about revelation rule for every geoparks. Two, the new members, Yimengshan and Jiuhuashan Global Geoparks, do introductions and Taining, Tianzhushan and other 3 geoparks which attend the last revelations share their experience in conference. Three, delegates discuss about revelation time limit, contributions paid, geopark management and others. Four, delegates visit geological heritage protection area, museum and interpretation system of Dunhuang Global Geopark. Five, Qinling Zhongnanshan Global Geopark signed sister-park with Dunhuang Global Geopark following IGGP to share information, technology, management and others, from now on, and we have 9 sister-parks.
We get that China is one of richest geological heritage resources, widest area, much most kind countries in the world from this conference. Now, 39 global geoparks, 217 national geoparks, more than 300 provinces geoparks in our country which offer important base for establishing a Chinese Characteristic Nature Reserve System as National Park for main body.
