The delegation visited Qinling Zhongnanshan Global Geopark Museum, the wonders of Chinese landslides, the ice wind tunnel, Tianchi the barrier lake and the tourist service center, etc. the delegation was deeply impressed by the impressive landslip relic landscape, rich and diverse geological landforms, and effective protection and management of Qinling Zhongnanshan Global Geopark.

At the symposium, the leaders of Qinling Zhongnanshan Global Geopark Management Center and Qinling Zhongnanshan Global Geopark Tourism Development Co., Ltd. introduced relevant experience from six aspects: the planning and construction of the geopark, operation and management, the protection of geological relics, the promotion of the global Geopark brand, the construction and operation of the geopark museum, and the preparation of revalidation. At the same time, Leye Fengshan Global Geopark also shared relevant management experience. Based on the principle of “mutual benefit and common development”, Director Yang Jianping and Director Jiang Dongping jointly signed and concluded the Sister-Park agreement, which laid a solid foundation for further exchanges and cooperation.
Qinling Zhongnanshan UNESCO Global Geopark and Leye Fengshan UNESCO Global Geopark have successfully passed two rounds of revalidation respectively. The signing of the sister-park is of great significance for both sides to welcome the upcoming UNESCO revalidation. The two sides agreed that: first, take planning as the guide, protect and promote development, jointly create the golabl geopark brand card, and promote the effective protection of geological heritage resources and the sustainable development of the geopark. Second, actively carry out various forms of cooperation and exchanges online and offline, seek in-depth cooperation and realize resource sharing. Third, learn from each other, jointly dig into the geopark culture, and study and discuss the tourism development during the epidemic.
