Recently, the Cuihuashan Science Popularization Team from the Qinling Zhongnanshan UNESCO Global Geopark conducted an innovative outreach event at the Fifth Primary School of Aerospace City. The team organized a distinctive thematic science activity titled "Ecological Conservation and Geological Exploration of Qinling Mountains," delivering an engaging and educational experience that seamlessly blended academic knowledge with interactive learning for both faculty and students.

A Vivid Geological Lecture

At the outset of the event, the science popularization team's lecturer captivated the students with vivid imagery and concise videos, presenting the unique geological structure of the Qinling Mountains in an engaging and accessible manner. From the formation of its towering peaks to its abundant mineral resources, the students gained a profound appreciation for nature's remarkable craftsmanship.

Ecological Knowledge Competition

The science popularization team then shifted focus to the ecological significance of the Qinling Mountains. They elaborated on its role as the "Central Water Tower" and a "Biodiversity Gene Bank," while also addressing the ecological challenges it faces. This deepened the students' understanding of the importance of protecting the Qinling ecosystem. To reinforce their learning, the team organized a "Qinling Ecological Knowledge Quiz," sparking enthusiasm through a fun and competitive question-and-answer format. The students participated actively, solidifying their newfound knowledge in a joyful and interactive setting.

Geological Knowledge Mini-Game

During the interactive session, students enthusiastically posed questions, creating a lively and dynamic atmosphere. Fifth-grader Xiao Li exclaimed with excitement, "I had no idea the Qinling Mountains held so many geological mysteries! I'm inspired to learn more about earth sciences in the future."

Dialogue with the School

The faculty of Aerospace City Fifth Primary School praised the event, stating, "This science outreach initiative is highly meaningful, as it not only broadens the children's horizons but also fosters a sense of responsibility toward ecological conservation." The Cuihuashan Science Popularization Team's efforts not only planted seeds of curiosity for geological science and environmental stewardship in the students' hearts but also rallied broader societal support for the protection of the Qinling Mountains, contributing to a national culture of ecological preservation.
