To promote the development of Cuihuashan scenic area and Nanwutai scenic area and the interaction between global geoparks, Qinling Zhongnanshan UNESCO Global Geopark Management Office dispatched a delegation to learn from Funiu Mountain Global Geopark in Henan province. This trip also helped to promote the two scenic areas and contributed to the development of geopark community.
The delegation had five members and was led by Mr. Wu Xiaopeng, deputy general manager of Qinling Zhongnanshan Tourism Development Company. The delegation visited the Dinosaur Relics Park, Laojieling, Jiguandong and Laojunshan, and also had in-depth discussion on the development and protection of geopark and the application of 5A scenic area with staff from Funiu Mountain Global Geopark. The delegation also learned from the business categories, which will help the two scenic areas in introducing diversified projects.
The delegation learnt good practices of Funiu Mountain Global Geopark and had a clear understanding of what should be improved. In the future, the delegation will invite Funiu Mountain management team to visit Qinling Zhongnanshan, promote mutual exchanges and enhance regional resource sharing. This will surely help the application of 5A scenic area and the improvement of the geopark.
