Mrs. Qiao Jiani and Mr. Lu Sheng, journalists from Shaanxi Daily, interviewed Director Yang Jianping of Qinling Zhongnanshan UNESCO Global Geopark Management Office on July 10. The interview mainly focused on the UNESCO global geopark network membership application, its scientific significance, features of each scenic area, protection of geological relics and future development orientation of the geopark. Director Yan Jianping gave detailed answers on these questions. Director Yang Jianping warmly welcomed the journalists and expressed the hope that as a world-level brand for Xi’an, more attention and recognition should be given to Qinling Zhongnanshan and by media promotion, people would know it better and love it more. Guided by the green development concept of President Xi Jinping, the management office will further devote to the geological relics protection and education in public to lay solid foundation for the UNESCO revalidation in 2021.
