On the last day of 2019, good news about Zhuque International Juvenile Camp in Qinling Zhongnanshan UNESCO Global Geopark came. 79 tourism agencies and education agencies joined the camp in 2019, which received about 40,116 persons for joining the research-and-study classroom in the camp and realized 1,953,000 RMB as the camp income.
Since 2015, Qinling Zhongnanshan UNESCO Global Geopark Management Office has invested about 1,086,850 RMB in the construction of sign system and Zhuque Museum in Zhuque International Juvenile Camp. Owning unique outdoor environment, excellent recreation facilities and modern museum, Zhuque International Juvenile Camp has become an important means to popularize geology.
In order to fully display geological relics and better popularize science to juveniles, a science popularization system of Zhuque Museum and its satellite museums has been built by Qinling Zhongnanshan UNESCO Global Geopark. Science popularization infrastructures, including Zhuque Museum and its satellite museums, Zhuque International Juvenile Camp, Qinling Nature School and Heihe Science Popularization Information Station, are well-designed and have colorful displays and interactive activities. They focus on improving practical abilities of juveniles and stimulate their enthusiasm to discover the beauty and mystery of Qinling and our earth.
