Thematic Meeting on Establishing 5A Grade Scenic Area Was Held

On Oct. 7^th Qinling Zhongnanshan UNESCO Global Geopark Tourism Development Company held a thematic meeting on establishing 5A grade scenic area to speed up the establishing process and to improve the overall image of the geopark. Mr. Zhang Long (vice-president of Xi’an Tourism Group), Mr. Yang Jianping (director of Qinling Zhongnanshan UNESCO Global Geopark Management Office), Mr. Wang Jun (president of Zhuque Company), Mr. Song Baoping (consultant from Delin Company) and other specialists attended the meeting and gave their suggestions on the next steps to better the geopark. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Dong Jianjun,president of Qinling Zhongnanshan UNESCO Global Geopark Tourism Development Company. Leaders from Xian Tourism Development Group Project Development Department, Qinling Zhongnanshan UNESCO Global Geopark Tourism Development Company, Cuihuashan Scenic Area and Nanwutai Scenic Area attentded the meeting.

During the meeting, Delin Company made a report on co-setting up the 5A guiding system by Cuihuashan Scenic Area and Nanwutai Scenic Area and the plan to improve the core landscaping of Nanwutai Scenic Area. Then the attendees discussed the report and gave suggestions to make it more scientific, practical and workable. Director Yang Jianping offered suggestions from the following three aspects: one is that the improvement of the guiding system should take both the requirements of Operational Guidelines of UNESCO Network of Geoarks and those of the 5A scenic area into consideration; two is that the improvement should be done from different aspects inluding brand building, software and hardware improvement ect and devote to the global geopark re-assessment in the year of 2021; three is that the improvement should strictly obersve the laws related to Qinling protection and relative government departments should be connected in advance.

In 2020, Qinling Zhongnanshan UNESCO Global Geopark will continue to open its mind to promote its service, to explore new ways to have better performance and to devote to the development of the world geopark network.
