On Dec. 11th 2020, the first coordination meeting for 2021 revalidation of Qinling Zhongnanshan UNESCO Global Geopark was held in the Resources and Planning Service Building. The meeting was chaired by Director Yan Jianping of Qinling Zhongnanshan UNESCO Global Geopark. And responsible persons of eight scenic areas of the geopark and all staff of the geopark management office attended the meeting.
The meeting stressed that:
First, study the adjustment of revalidation policy with the background of covid-19 epidemic.
Second, study the suggestions offered by revalidation experts in 2017 and provide solutions.
Third, detail the work requirements for 2021 revalidation and data collection plan.
At last, Director Yan Jianping stressed that due to limited time and heavy task, the following three points must be followed: first, all the related scenic areas must attach great importance to 2021 revalidation; second, each scenic area must have a specially-assigned person to collect and summarize data and materials; third, there should be sincere cooperation between each scenic area and the geopark management office to make sure the scientificity and promptness of the all the data and materials.
