In order to celebrate the 2022 “5.18 International Museum Day” and welcome the “Cultural and Natural Heritage Day”, promote the integrated development of intangible cultural heritage protection and geopark tourism, help heating up tourism and promote the traditional Chinese culture, “Advanced by The Time And Shared by The People” 2022 tour of inheritors of intangible heritage had the performance in Qinling Zhongnanshan UNESCO Global Geopark. This event was hosted by Xi’an Culture and Tourism Bureau and jointlty organized by Xi’an Mass Art Museum, Xi’an Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center, Xi’an Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, Chang’an District Culture and Tourism Bureau and Chang’an District Culture Center.
The event invited more than 20 intangible cultural heritage inheritors at national, provincial and municipal levels. On the site of the event, the beauty of the gobal geopark and the intagible heritages showed by the inheritors added splendor to each other, bringing a feast of beauty and culture to the tourists. Huamo, clay sculpture, black pottery, sugar blowing figure, straw sandals, brick carving and other intagible inheritors showed and teached tourists on site so that tourists were able to experience the charm of folk culture. The exquisite production skills of Qinqiang Banhu, Guqin and a wide range of production tools and materials expanded the tourists’ horizon who had never seen these objects.
The activity attracted nearly thousands of people to watch and learn. Through intangible project performance, intangible products production art exhibition, display boards and gifts of intangible handmade works, this activity popularized intagible knowledge, boosted the beautiful rural construction and let more people know the world natural heritage and intangible cultural heritage of Qinling Zhongnanshan UNESCO Global Geopark and this would promote the protection of the environment and the intangible cultural heritage.
