On the afternoon of April 14, 2022, the review meeting of “Impact Assessment Report of Shaanxi Yinhan Jiwei Phase III Project Crossing Qinling Zhongnanshan Global Geopark” was organized by Qinling Zhongnanshan UNESCO Global Geopark Management Center was held in Liyuan Hotel. Deputy Director Wang Chuang attended the meeting. Major leaders of Xi’an Forestry Bureau Desources Department, Lintong District Resources and Planning Branch, Qinling Zhongnanshan UNESCO Global Geopark Management Center, Huaqing Palace Scenic Area, Shaanxi Yinhan Jiwei Construction Co., Ltd. and other units attended the review meeting.
The meeting invited 5 professors from Shaanxi Normal University, Chang’an University, Xi’an University of Science and Technology to make a comprehensive reivew on the report. Experts have been put forward many useful comments and suggestions for the project from the perspective of geopark protection and the amendment of the report, and agreed to the report through the review.
Finally, Deputy Director Wang Chuang stressed that, first, the report preparation unit should carefully compare expert opinions, modify and improve the necessity of project selection and other contents, do a good job of the revision and improvement of the report and submit it to experts for review. The second is to scientifically assess the impact on the geomorphology and geological structure involved in the project, establish and improve the environmental protection emergency plan, and minimize the impact on the environment. Third, the construction unit of the project should accept the inspection and supervision of administrative departments at all levels during the construction period, so as to realize the harmonious development of the construction of national key energy infrastructure and the protection of geological relics.
