On April 25th, the 2023 Xi'an Spring Cultural Tourism Activity and the 22nd Cuihuashan Climbing Festival was held with nearly 10,000 visitors. The activity was co-organized by Cuihuashan Scenic Area of Qinling Zhongnanshan Global Geopark and sponsored by Xi'an Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, the People's Government of Chang'an District, and Xi'an Tourism Group, Qinling Zhongnanshan Global Geopark Management Center, Chang'an District Bureau of Culture, Tourism and Sports and Taiyigong Sub District Office.
In the early morning, Cuihuashan Scenic Area was bustling with visitors and climbers. With the sound of the starting guns, the contestants followed the 18Pan hiking trail to reach Tianchi Lake, challenging to climb the top of Cuihua Peak. Along the way, the global geopark was full of picturesque scenery and scenic wonders.
The theme of this year's mountain climbing festival is new routes, new gameplay and new experiences. Cuihuashan Scenic Area of Qinling Zhongnanshan Global Geopark has launched a series of activities to invite visitors to the geopark and enjoy a new way of life close to the nature. The activities include the new high-quality mountain climbing routes, the "Beautiful Scenery of Cuihuashan" spring outing, the "Divine Sherlock's Treasure Hunting Adventure Geological Maze Tour, the Zhongnan Small Classroom Activity, the "Wenhua Zhongnan" Cuihua Book House Reading Sharing Meeting, the Huimin Enjoyment Tour, the "Discovering the Beauty of Qinling Mountains" College Student Short Video Creative Festival, Parent-child Leisure Activity, the Cuihuashan Camping Festival and the Qinling Mountains and Waters Art Exhibition etc.
At the event site, a tourism initiative was also issued to call on all visitors to be civilized visitors. At the same time, representatives from various industries, who support the development of geopark tourism, were commeded with honor flags. Everyone was called on to always show the simplicity, enthusiasm, openness, and inclusiveness of Xi'an with full spirit, proper language, sincere smile, high-quality service and civilized behavior.
