Qinling Zhongnanshan UNESCO Global Geopark delegation led by Mr. Zhang Wei, deputy inspector, conducted a 4-day study and research tour in Patatso National Park in Yunnan Province from Oct. 29 to Nov. 1 2018.
The delegation made full preparation before its departure. They sought suggestion from Mr. Ge Anxin, Senior Engineer in Shaanxi Forestry Investigation and Planning Institute and Professor Wang Xiaofeng from Shaanxi Normal University. They also asked for the permission for having the documents regarding national park construction and ecological protection from the management body of Putatso National Park.
With great enthusiasm, the delegation exchanged views with Putatso National Park in depth. Mr. Bao Fuhao, Office Director, Mr. Ding Wendong, chief of the conservation department and Ms. Danzhen Lachu gave a comprehensive introduction of the Putatso national park to the delegation. The two sides discussed and exchanged views regarding management body building, laws and regulations making, master plan development and law enforcement. And then led by Mr. Ding Wendong and Ms. Danzhen Lachu, the delegation had a field visit of the natural ecology, community co-construction and infrastructure construction of the Shudu Lake scenic area. At last, in order to better protect Qinling, the delegation obtained documents about park construction and protection from Putatso National Park.
To properly build the national park is the key reformation task suggested in the third Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee and the main part in the ecological civilization construction. National park protection mode is the most effective one. This learning tour gave the delegation some new thoughts and new direction on Qinling protection. Qinling Zhongnanshan UNESCO Global Geopark will construct the Qinling conservation area and protect ecological resources according to the practices of Putatso National Park and will do its best to become a national park.
